Ozbuild Materials understand the importance of sourcing ‘green materials'. We also understand that buying green must fit into the economic cycle, and that carbon neutral needs to be as close to cash neutral as possible.

As the world’s natural resources continue to be depleted by high impact industries such as mining and energy, we realise that green alternatives need to be presented whose sourcing and production limit the environmental impact. We also realise the importance of economics in the viability of carbon neutral construction supplies.

This is the reason why Ozbuild Materials are continuing to narrow our focus on materials which are sourced from:

1. Companies who engage in ecologically sustainable production
2. Juvenile growth timber – engineered timber products like finger-jointed, laminated and man made compressed products such as LVLs, Plywood, and I-Beams
3. Products made from recycled product like Polyester Insulation
4. Manufacturers – meaning that we cut out the traditional distributors and wholesalers whose handling of product serves only to add cost and burn fossil fuels in the transportation of material
5. Australian Manufacturers (where possible and viable) to lessen and simplify the carbon footprint tracking of our products.

We recognize that a product’s environmental impact does not finish with its sourcing and production, and should take into account it's post-production movement.
